General Requirements

Verification must be based on a valid, current federal, provincial, or territorial government-issued photo ID containing:

• Name
• Photograph
• Unique identifier number

Foreign ID Considerations

• Foreign ID is acceptable if equivalent to Canadian government-issued photo ID.
• Municipal IDs (Canadian or foreign): Not acceptable.
• Ontario health cards: Prohibited (see IPC Ontario).
